Opportunity: What all students deserve so as to Educate all students
Education happens in the classroom; my obligation is creating the opportunity for all learners to acquire the knowledge, skills, and reasoning of mathematics. A typical day students will challenge their procedural fluency, query each other on their concepts and ideas, revisit prior knowledge, engage a new idea and cooperate with each other to master those new ideas.

Final Exam Notes.
Periods 1,3,4,6
- When it's time for your group to present I will open my gmail account and your file should be there
- Be prepared to answer questions about the chart style you chose
- What is the data telling you, or not telling you? Be prepared to answer those questions; that's what interpretation involves.
- If you do not bring a scientific calculator you will be doing a lot of arithmetic by hand! Some calculations (Variance, Standard deviation) require a calculator and if you don't have one you can only estimate square roots.
- I will provide the GPAs
Period 4
You will have 18 minutes to discuss the exam questions in your group; after 18 minutes you will clear your desk of everything except a pencil, eraser, and sharpener ( if needed).

Know the Math, Do the Math, Use the Math, Judge the Math, Love the Math!
Constructing and measuring,
and calculating aeronautic
characteristics of paper airplanes
introduces students to a concept
with great influence on humanity:
human flight.
Being 'good at math' does not mean that you can add and subtract well. A proficient mathematics student comprehends terms and concepts, executes procedures accurately, uses concepts and procedures to solve problems, determines the best approach for a particular problem, and appreciates ultimately the importance of mathematics in their lives.
Tools of the Trade: Respecting differences means greater opportunity.
Integer strips provided to
each student are a tactile
tool for mastering integer
addition
While pencil and paper are essential, other tools students may use recognize their diverse learning strengths which allows them greater opportunity to access the content.
A Day in the Life: Opportunity creates Education
Attached is a sample of a daily lesson: multiple opportunities to engage the content repeatedly to enhance more student's chances of mastering the content.
